After nearly a quarter of a century at the helm, Marcel Cauli has announced his departure as CEO and shareholder of Extendas. Under his leadership, Extendas has grown to become one of the leading players in the petrol and car wash market, where around 40 employees work every day to ensure that business-critical processes at many petrol stations and car washes run smoothly.
Together with Edwin Westen, who sadly passed away far too early, Marcel founded Extendas in 2001. During those years, the company successfully launched products such as the FuelOffice back-office system and the SPINpos cash register system. In consultation with the co-shareholders and management, Marcel has decided to step down as of February 1 and transfer his shares to Mokobouw. Arjan Vissers has been appointed as the new CEO and will lead the management team together with Tim Bethlehem (CFO). Marcel considers Extendas to be his grown-up child and looks forward to seeing the company continue to grow. Extendas will always have a special place in Marcel's heart.
Our journey together has been something truly extraordinary. I am extremely proud of the milestones we have achieved and the wonderful collaborations we have enjoyed. The next phase of growth for the company and its ambitions will require a different type of leadership. It therefore feels like the right time to take this step, and I am convinced that with all the enthusiastic employees at Extendas, a very bright future lies ahead. I wish them every happiness and success!
