After a successful two-month pilot period, ShopPoint has decided to connect all of its locations to FuelOffice, the back-office solution developed by Extendas. According to both parties, this marks the next step in ShopPoint’s professionalization journey, a necessary move to achieve their ambitious growth goals.
In October, Extendas and ShopPoint began the pilot project, transitioning the three locations in Hoezaar, Maastricht, and Zoetermeer entirely to FuelOffice. In October, Extendas and ShopPoint began the pilot project, transitioning the three sites in Hoezaar, Maastricht, and Zoetermeer entirely to FuelOffice. The pilot included a full installation and implementation of FuelOffice, a clean-up of the article database, the setup of a data warehouse, automated processing of purchase invoices, and an extended interface with Logic Vision. During this demanding phase, the recently acquired Schipper location in Rotterdam was also added to the pilot. The full rollout is now nearing completion, with most locations already operating on Extendas software. The aim is to have all locations fully transitioned by next week.
Immediate benefits
"I'm very pleased with Extendas' professional and flexible approach, which was essential to the success of this project," says Alex Tramper, project leader at ShopPoint. “Despite the significant operational impact that comes with moving to a new software system, we’re already seeing major benefits in terms of inventory optimization, which helps increase our margins. In addition, many administrative tasks are now automated, saving us a great deal of time."
Independent rollout enabled by strong collaboration
The project is led by senior consultant Niels Voortman on behalf of Extendas, who looks back positively on the process: "The enthusiasm and strong project management on ShopPoint’s side made it possible to implement the entire system in such a short time. It's always great to see how excited users get when they start to experience the improvements and efficiencies the system offers.
We’ve invested a lot of time in training their staff, which now allows ShopPoint to manage the rest of the rollout independently. This enables me to focus on fine-tuning the system setup to match their business processes and driving further optimizations, such as integrating with Veeder-Root and Utodas tank gauging systems."
Flexible, scalable and stable
ShopPoint was looking for a software solution that would reduce administrative workload while improving control over inventory and retail operations. For oil trading and financial administration the company was already using Logic Vision, a system with which Extendas has a proven integration.
By linking FuelOffice to Logic Vision, ShopPoint now benefits from a powerful, scalable platform that supports future growth and further professionalization. As a trusted partner, Extendas offers complete flexibility to combine both existing and new systems, fully aligned with ShopPoint’s operational needs and long-term vision.
